White and Purple Roses

Updated: Jan 6, 2024

In November I visited the Richmond Women's Resource Centre (RWRC) for the first time. And like all the other previous flower drop offs, I was nervous and worried. But everyone was very welcoming and kind. After we started the conversation with the director (Florence) and secretary (Jessica), I felt really relieved. They complimented the flowers, and seemed to be very excited about them. Jessica promised to put the flowers to good use.

We took a few pictures together and gave Jessica (the secretary) the rest of the flowers. I was so glad she used them in multiple ways. Jessica used the roses as a gift for graduating members, and decorations for their potluck. She is still planning to use the last few for a welcoming gift for new members next year. I'm glad many of the members enjoyed the flowers and feel like they represent the RWRC through their white and purple colours.
