Water lilies and Cranes

During the modular housing visit with Flourish, I held my first craft session where I helped people make origami crane ornaments. This time I didn't feel as uncomfortable because I went with people from my church and was surrounded in a more of relaxed environment.

Although none of the residents participated in my craft, I was just glad I was able to go and teach the other members it. We had a ton of fun through doing the craft, and laughing at each other's creations. Even though I wasn't able to hand out the flowers in person, we planned to put them inside the gift bags.

Overall it was just a really fun experience that allowed me to form a greater bond with some of the people in my church. I hope in the future I can become more involved with Flourish and participate on a daily basis.
