Thompson Community Center

The Thompson Community Center is a great place that provides activities for everyone. At the center, they host various clubs and occasions that will help you improve/share your hobbies and meet new people. They also hold events there and support multiple community initiatives. The Thompson community is a prominent place in our community that continues to inspire a connection between individuals and their passions.

While planning for the meet up in early December, I spent my time communicating with Suzi Rosenberg, the community facility director of the Thompson Community Center. Throughout our emails, Suzi was extremely responsive and encouraging, she helped give me insight on how to improve the kits. Although due to Covid-19 I was never able to see anyone interacting with the kits, I was blown away by the creative way the team showcased the craft packets.

To celebrate Christmas, they had hung up the kits in a similar fashion to ornaments on a Christmas tree. This opened up a creative way for passersby to take the kits. I loved that idea, and I think it's a great way to introduce other people to origami.
