Around November, I visited the Richmond Family Place. The Richmond Family Place is a great spot that provides care and support for families and their children. They have many skilled workers who take care of children and provide engaging programs. The center also holds many activities that help the child and parent bond.
For this time's drop-off, I was able to make origami spinner craft packets. Due to Covid-19, I wasn't able to talk or meet up with any of the recipients. However, I did get to talk to Ms. Gilder, who helped pick up the kits. She was extremely friendly and very cheery. Throughout my emails, I was also able to communicate with Ms. Tarvener, who was the program director. And because of the drop-off, I also got to reconnect with an old nursery volunteer from my church, Ms. Chiu.
Although I did not meet up with anyone face to face, I do hope that they enjoyed the kits. Hopefully, they can provide a fun challenge and some source of entertainment over Covid-19. And that they will give the families something that can occupy their time and give them something to positively talk about.
