Lotus Candles

I attempted to remake the previous modular design from beforehand. But this time I added in a candle, made each flower around 4 times larger, and furled back the petals. Even though this creation was quite similar to the last lotus, I enjoyed this design more because I loved the aesthetic the candle created.
Although these flowers were distributed in the summer, they were meant to be a Mother Day's gift, but sadly the amazon order of candles came in late. I also had complications with the size, since these flowers require half a sheet for each petal, so I waited even longer for more origami paper. But overall I had a lot of fun making these lotus for women in the community.
The flowers were given to ladies at my church, family friends, and workers in the hospital and pharmacy. These gifts were meant to show my appreciation towards these people. I was very glad to hear that the flowers I made were well received and the recipients felt touched by the small encouraging note. I hope that the note can remind these people to continue to find personal growth and patience in these hard times.
